Group Runs

If you are not currently a club member and choose to participate in our group runs or hikes you must sign a waiver each time you attend a group run in accordance with Road Runner’s Club of America (RRCA).

Track Workouts

Tuesday evening track workouts, 5:45-7 pm at Santa Fe High School track (March-November)

Wednesday evening runs, 6 pm at Los Alamos (across from Pet Pangaea 158 Central Park)

Tempo Runs

Thursday evening road runs, 6 pm at the Running Hub, year-round. The routes are posted here.

Long Runs

Two STARTING TIMES 8:30 or 8:45

  • 8:30 AM Zia Train station – We’ll start the regular route toward Eldorado.
  • 8:45 AM  If you over sleep you can still join the group at the Rabbit Road parking lot at 8:45 am.

Saturday morning runs, long slow distance on the Rail Trail, meet at Rail Runner Station at Zia and St. Francis

We recommend parking at Albertsons and walking across the street.

The course is a simple out-and-back that allows you to run any distance you want. It starts on a paved running/biking path and turns to dirt after 1.5 miles. There are some steep hills but very little overall elevation gain. Paces vary from around 8 minutes flat to walking 16 minutes per mile, so there should definitely be someone who runs close to your pace and distance.


Trail Runs

Let’s meet at St. John’s college and run up Atalaya and run a loop behind the peak in the Sierra Pelada/Arroyo Hondo area. The route will be almost 11.5 miles.
If you would like to run shorter, you could do an out and back to Atalaya.

This week were going to try something a little different. From the start we will have 2 groups… a faster group and a not as fast group. We will both run the same route, but if you’re faster and want to stop less this should help.
Nathan has kindly agreed to lead the faster group. We will all meet and start together.
